These Terms and Conditions apply to the Persepolis Village mobile app and the website https://persepolisvillage.com/.

By using the app or website, you agree to these Terms.

 

Use of the App

Persepolis Village is a free language-learning app that provides video lessons, transcripts, phrase practice, quizzes, and flashcards.

You may use the app for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, resell, redistribute, scrape, or misuse the app content, videos, transcripts, images, or software.

 

Accounts and Payments

The current version of Persepolis Village does not require a user account and does not require payment.

We do not sell subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid digital content in the current version of the app.

 

Educational Content

The app is provided for language-learning and educational purposes. We try to keep the content accurate and useful, but we do not guarantee that every phrase, translation, transcript, or lesson is free from errors.

 

Third-Party Services and Links

Some videos and audio files may be hosted by third-party services such as MediaFire. When you play this content, your device may connect to those third-party services.

The app or website may also contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

 

Intellectual Property

The app, website, text, images, transcripts, lesson structure, design, and other content are owned by Persepolis Village or used with permission, unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Subtitle Uploader Terms

Persepolis Village provides a private desktop application called Subtitle Uploader. The application allows authorized YouTube channel owners and managers to upload and update subtitle tracks for videos they are permitted to manage.

YouTube API Services

Subtitle Uploader uses the YouTube Data API v3 and Google OAuth 2.0.

By using Subtitle Uploader, you agree to comply with:

Authorization

You must sign in using a Google Account that owns the relevant YouTube channel or has sufficient permission to manage the selected videos and their captions.

You authorize Subtitle Uploader to perform only the operations you initiate, including:

  • Reading basic information about a selected video.
  • Listing its existing caption tracks.
  • Uploading a new subtitle track.
  • Updating an existing manual subtitle track.

You may revoke the application’s access at any time through your Google Account third-party connections page.

User responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Selecting the correct Google Account and YouTube channel.
  • Supplying the correct YouTube video ID.
  • Reviewing subtitle files before uploading them.
  • Ensuring that you own or have permission to use and publish the subtitle content.
  • Complying with copyright, privacy, accessibility, and other applicable laws.
  • Keeping client_secret.json and token.json confidential.
  • Reviewing the uploaded subtitles in YouTube Studio.

You must not use Subtitle Uploader to access or modify videos, channels, or captions without authorization.

Content ownership

Persepolis Village does not claim ownership of subtitle files uploaded through Subtitle Uploader.

You retain responsibility for the subtitle content you provide. Uploading subtitles through the tool does not transfer ownership of that content to Persepolis Village.

Uploaded subtitles are stored and managed by YouTube according to YouTube’s terms and policies.

Prohibited use

You may not use Subtitle Uploader to:

  • Violate the YouTube Terms of Service or YouTube API Services policies.
  • Infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other legal rights.
  • Upload unlawful, misleading, harmful, or unauthorized content.
  • Circumvent YouTube API quotas, restrictions, security controls, or access limitations.
  • Share OAuth credentials or application credential files publicly.
  • Attempt to access another user’s Google Account or YouTube channel without permission.
  • Reverse engineer or misuse Google or YouTube services.

API quotas and availability

Subtitle Uploader depends on Google OAuth, the YouTube Data API, internet connectivity, and available API quota.

Google or YouTube may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue an API feature at any time. Persepolis Village cannot guarantee that subtitle uploads will always be available or completed without interruption.

An operation may fail because of exhausted quota, expired authorization, insufficient channel permissions, invalid subtitle files, YouTube processing errors, or changes to YouTube’s services.

Uploaded content and deletion

Revoking OAuth access or deleting the local token.json file prevents future authorized API operations but does not automatically delete subtitles already uploaded to YouTube.

The user must use YouTube Studio to modify or delete subtitle tracks already stored by YouTube.

Suspension and termination

Access to Subtitle Uploader may be suspended or discontinued if the tool is used unlawfully, without authorization, or in violation of these Terms, Google’s policies, or YouTube’s policies.

Users may stop using the application at any time by revoking its Google Account access and deleting the local token.json file.

Disclaimer

Subtitle Uploader is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Persepolis Village does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, successful processing by YouTube, continued API availability, or freedom from all errors.

Users should verify uploaded subtitles in YouTube Studio and retain backup copies of their original subtitle files.
